Hello Vicky!

My name is Frank ter Horst. I'm 26 years old and I'm from Dinxperlo, a town
in the Netherlands. I'm writing you because of the following reason. I was
surfing on the Web looking for a document with my last name (ter Horst) in
it.
Suddenly I found this piece of text about the family name Neevel! And that
text was quite familiar to me. You are wondering why? Because my father
wrote it in 1972! Actually he must have written the FIRST version of it
about 9 months before I was born:-) !! It was published FIRST in April 1972
and later that year in an altered version.

My father died in 1991, but me and my mother still live next door to Willem
Theodoor Neevel (& wife) which is mentioned at the end of the text. By the
way: their house has been sold to the local community and in a few years it
will be torn down to make some space for factories, offices etc..
Johan ter Horst (mentioned in the text) was my grandfather! So my father's
mother was called Neevel!

I have a question: How did you receive this text? Of course you may use it
but I'm curious how you got it. And I have a favour to ask you: Could you
please mention at the bottom of the text that the text is written by Karel
ter Horst from Dinxperlo (Netherlands) in 1972 and that people can contact
me for further details about him or the family called 'ter Horst'.

Furthermore I'd like to correct some of the text because there are some
'silly' mistakes in it. Could you please change these mistakes?

Origins of the NEEVEL Surname

I suggest to write Dutch guilders instead of "f".

Instead of "op de Pruus" you can write "at the farm called Pruus".
