OSGOOD CO.

    Hi, its me again (Vicki)!  I am trying to "dig up" information on the old Osgood dredge and steam shovel company.

    Here's what I know (or think I know).  An Osgood and brothers brought the idea of the dredge over to America and started the Osgood Co. in Troy, New York.  Some of the owners and inventors may have been David Osgood, Jason Osgood and possibly Worth Osgood (all from the New York area).  The Osgoods had many original patents on dredge and steam shovel designs.  The company later moved to Marion, Ohio before closing down.  The brothers were thought to have made a lot of money from their dredge business.

    I am seeking more information on this and would appreciate ANY help.
