Hello. My name is Vicki Lynn Osgood, author of these Osgood
Family History and VanderWoude web pages. My mission is to provide the world with free
resources on the Osgood and VanderWoude surname by publishing my research and by helping
to link other Osgood and VanderWoude genealogy resources and other internet Osgoods and
VanderWoudes together.
As I mentioned, my name is VICKI LYNN OSGOOD. I was born on January 10, 1970 at 7:40pm in
Bellingham, Washington, USA. I lived with my parents and my brother on the VanderWoude
farm in Ferndale, Washington until 1979. We moved to Everett, Washington in 1979 when my
father got a computer programming job at Boeing. During that time I went through the Lake
Stevens school system and graduated high school in 1988. Afterwards I attended Everett
Community College and Central Washington University (finally graduating with several
degrees in 1994). In 1995 I moved to Los Angeles, California to attend Whittier Law School
(graduating in 1997). I am now an attorney in the Everett, Washington area.
My brother (mentioned above) is KEVIN JAY OSGOOD. He was born on October 6, 1972 in
Bellingham, Washington, USA. He also went through the Lake Stevens school system and
graduated high school in 1991. He lived with me in Los Angeles, California for a while but
currently resides in Lynnwood. He is the manager of an automotive shop and a mechanic by
trade and has held several jobs in this area.
My parents are EDWIN CHARLES OSGOOD and JOAN VIOLA VANDERWOUDE. My dad was born on June
16, 1950 in Bellingham, Washington and my mom on November 21, 1951 in Bellingham,
Washington. They were married on August 8, 1969 in Lynden, Washington at the Faith Reform
Church. My dad went to Lynden High School and Western Washington University in Bellingham,
Washington and my mom went to Ferndale High School.
My father's parents are CLARENCE OSGOOD and LOLA ELLIS OSGOOD. Clarence and Lola are
retired and live in Lynden, Washington. Clarence's parents are Charles Edwin Osgood and
Bertha Boehringer Osgood. Lola's parents are Rufus R. Ellis and Hazel Thompson Ellis.
My mother's parents are John VanderWoude and Violet Neevel VanderWoude. John and Violet
are retired and live in Lynden, Washington. Violet's parents are Gerhardes
("George") Neevel and Alma Meenk Neevel.
My FIRST COUSINS are Tami Osgood Brester, Chad Osgood, Jason VanderWoude, Brandi
VanderWoude Morgan, Katy VanderWoude, Michael VanderWoude, David VanderWoude, Justin
VanderWoude, Derek VanderWoude, Daniel VanderWoude, Bruce VanderWoude, Tina VanderWoude
and Lynn VanderWoude.
My AUNTS and UNCLES are William ("Bill") Osgood, Nancy Osgood Peake, Doug Peake,
Glen VanderWoude, Diane VanderWoude, Dale VanderWoude, Christine VanderWoude, Paul
VanderWoude and Darlene VanderWoude.
My NEPHEWS & NIECES are Justin Brester and Elizabeth Nicole Morgan.
